All About Common University Entrance Test (CUET) Exam 2024

The full form of CUET is the Common University Entrance Test which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is an annually conducted all India level entrance exam that is held for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in India. Separate exams are held for CUET UG and CUET PG courses. The marks secured by the candidate in the CUET exam is accepted by around 250 central, state, private and deemed universities across India. CUET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The CUET eligibility criteria is released by the NTA along with the CUET notification to the candidates who are willing to appear for the exam. The basic eligibility criteria for the CUET exam are as follows: 

  • Minimum age requirement: There is no age limit for the CUET examination.
  • Nationality: The candidate must have Indian citizenship.
  • Educational qualifications: Candidates must have qualified Class 10+2 from a recognised board with a minimum 50% marks obtained. Those who will be appearing for the 12th Board exams in the current academic year are also eligible to apply for the exam. The candidates must be from a recognised board. 
  • Subjects studied: Candidates must have studied any of the following subjects during the Class 12th: Accountancy, Agriculture, Anthropology, Art Education Sculpture, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics/Business Economics, Engineering Graphics, Entrepreneurship, Environmental Studies, General Test, Geography, History, Home Science, Languages, Legal Studies, Mass Media/ Mass Communication, Mathematics, Performing Arts, Physical Education, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sanskrit, Sociology and others.
  • Qualification exam marks: Candidates must score at least 50% in the last qualifying examination. The minimum mark for SC, ST, and OBC-NCL categories is 45%.

CUET Exam Pattern 2024
