What is HP TET Exam: Full Form and Details
HP TET full form is Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HP TET). It is a state-level exam teaching exam which is conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE), Dharamshala. The exam is held two times a year. The exam is once held in the month of June while the other time, it is held in the month of November. The exam is an eligibility test to determine the eligibility of candidates as teachers in the schools of Himachal Pradesh for the following subjects:

The HP TET exam date 2024 has been released by the authorities for the July and November sessions. For the June session, the HP TET exam will be held from 22nd June to 2nd July 2024. HP TET 2024 Application Form
The HP TET application form 2024 can be filled out for the June session by visiting the official website. Candidates have to fill the form carefully, upload the required documents and pay the application fee along with the form. Check below the HP TET application process:

- Click on the TET (HP TET June 2024) tab.
- Read the instructions carefully and click on ‘Register’.
- Enter the required details.
- Fill the HP TET application form 2024.
- Upload the scanned photo and signature.
- Pay the application fee as per your category.
- Submit and save the confirmation page.
HP TET Application Form Correction 2024
The HPBOSE provides a one-time facility for making corrections in the application form, if any. HP TET application correction window will be opened from 1 June to 3 June 2024 to candidates who want to make changes or corrections to the already filled application form. However, only certain details can be corrected.
HP TET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The basic HP TET eligibility criteria include fulfilment of the educational qualification. Check below the eligibility criteria for the HP TET exam.
- Candidates should have completed his/her graduation with at least 50% aggregate marks.
- Candidates should have a degree or diploma in teacher training.
- There is no upper age limit to apply for the exam provided the candidate fulfils the educational qualification.

HP TET 2024 Syllabus
Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) prescribes the HP TET syllabus 2024. The exam is for a total of 150 marks. The syllabus differs for all the papers including JBT, TGT (Non-Medical), TGT (Medical), TGT (Arts), Language Teacher, Shastri, Punjabi and Urdu.
HP TET 2024 Selection Process
Candidates who appear for the Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HPTET) will be shortlisted based on their score in the HP TET Online Exam. HP TET is an eligibility test. This means that qualifying for this teaching exam does not guarantee jobs to the aspirants.
Once the candidates have qualified for this exam, they will be issued the HP TET certificate. The certificate will allow them to apply for teaching jobs based on the vacancies in a particular school.
