ICSE full form is the Indian Certificate of Secondary Examination. The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is recognised by the Delhi Education Act, 1973, as a public examination body. The CISCE conducts two main examinations: the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and the Indian School Certificate (ISC) Examination, along with the Certificate of Vocational Education (CVE - Year 12). These examinations are recognised by various educational boards, state governments, and the Government of India.

The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Examination is structured as a comprehensive assessment in general education, conducted in English. Designed to provide a well-rounded education, the ICSE requires students to take six subjects, including compulsory English, and to be evaluated by their school in Socially Useful Productive Work and Community Service.

The ICSE Examination is a school-level exam, intended for students following a twelve-year educational course from Nursery to Class X. At this stage, students can choose subjects that align with their skills and interests, enhancing their academic performance.

The ICSE syllabus is detailed and extensive, with a strong emphasis on English as the medium of instruction. This focus on English provides students with an advantage in clearing entrance exams like IELTS, TOEFL, and SAT.

In this article, we have shared the ICSE Full Form, ICSE Overview, ICSE Subjects, and ICSE Marking Scheme for Class 10.
