The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is a national-level entrance test conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed) University (SIU), Pune, for admissions to its MBA programmes. This test is for aspiring candidates who want to join the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) programme offered by Symbiosis International University (SIU). SNAP is a widely recognised computer-based test (CBT) in India and can give candidates access to 17 Symbiosis B-Schools.
Overview of the SNAP Test
SNAP is a computer-based test (CBT) that assesses candidates in three key areas: General English, Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency, and Analytical & Logical Reasoning.
Eligibility for the SNAP Test: Candidates aspiring for Symbiosis Institutes must fulfil the eligibility criteria specified by the University. Eligible candidates must first register for SNAP to participate in the test and apply to their preferred Symbiosis institutes. Each of the 17 Symbiosis Institutes has its specific eligibility criteria.
Foreign Nationals/NRI/PIO/OCI: International candidates can also apply for Symbiosis, but for that, they should meet specific eligibility criteria.

How to Apply Online for SNAP Test
The registration process for the SNAP Test is online. You must follow the given steps to complete your registration.
- Visit the website: The candidate must visit the SNAP website (https://www.snaptest.org/) which is an official gateway for registration. To avoid any technical issues, it is advisable to use the latest version of a supported web browser.
- Register: To register for the test, click on the "Register" button on the homepage to create an account. Candidates are required to provide all the details which include their name, email address, phone number, and other personal information. Once they submit all the details, a SNAP ID and password will be generated. Save this information, as it will be needed to access the account.
- Fill out the application form: Candidates need to log in with their SNAP ID and password to fill out the application form. Details such as academic qualifications, work experience (if any), and preferred SNAP test cities need to be provided. (SNAP test is conducted in 80 cities in India.)
- Upload documents: Candidates need to upload a recent passport-sized photograph in the asked format.
- Select institutes: Candidates can choose the Symbiosis institutes they wish to apply for while filling out the form.
- Pay the application fee: Each institute has a separate application fee, which needs to be paid while selecting the institute. The application fee for the SNAP test must be paid for each attempt, as candidates can take up to three attempts. The fee can be paid online via credit/debit cards, net banking, UPI, or digital wallets.
- Submit the form: Review all the details in the application form and submit it. Once submitted, the candidates will receive a confirmation email and SMS.
SNAP Test Structure
The SNAP Test is held for 60 minutes. It is an objective test where the candidate is expected to select one out of four options given for each question. Each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks. The test comprises the following sections:
- General English (Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, and Verbal Ability): This section evaluates a candidate’s command over the English language, which includes grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.
- Quantitative (Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency): This section assesses the candidate’s mathematical ability, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data interpretation.
- Analytical & Logical Reasoning: This section evaluates the candidate’s problem-solving skills and logical thinking ability.

Note - Candidates can take the SNAP test up to three times. The highest score among their attempts will be used for the final percentile calculation, with no score normalisation.
