UPSC CDS Exam Date 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Combined Defence Service (CDS) examination is scheduled to be conducted on September 1, 2024. The CDS exam will be conducted in pen and paper mode. The examination will be conducted for admissions to the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy and the duration of the exam will be 6 hours, whereas for admissions to the Officers' Training Academy the duration of the written examination will be 4 hours.

CDS Exam Timing and Schedule
The candidate should reach the examination centre 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the examination and adhere to the CDS exam day guidelines. The entry gates will be closed 10 minutes before the scheduled time. Check the table below for shift timings

UPSC CDS Admit Card 2024
UPSC has released the admit card for CDS admit card 2024 on its official websites, upsconline.nic.in and upsc.gov.in. The hall ticket will have roll number, registration number of candidate, exam centre name and address, name of subjects, etc. Candidates are recommended to regularly visit the official website for any updates.
The candidates should now go through the exam day guidelines as printed on their admit cards. It is high time for candidate to now statring practicing CDS previous year paper to learn about the difficulty level asked previously in the examnation and also attempt CDS mock tests that are made after anlaysing the the latest trends and topics asked in the examination
UPSC CDS Selection Procedure
The selection process for the UPSC CDS will be done in two stages. The details of the exam process are given below:
Written Exam
The very first phase of the recruitment process is the written exam. The CDS exam pattern will have a 600 mark paperr consists of three different papers with 200 marks each. A selection list for the SSB Examination shall be prepared on the basis of total number of marks obtained in written examination

Interview for Intelligence and Personality Test
The SSB procedure consists of two stage Selection process - stage I and stage II. Only those candidates who clear stage I are permitted to appear for stage II. The details are:-
(a) Stage I comprises Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests, the Picture Perception Description Test (PP&DT). The candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the OIR Test and PP&DT.
(b) Stage II Comprises of Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, psychological Tests and the Conference. These tests are conducted over 4 days.
