All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi is one of the top medical colleges in India. AIIMS MBBS is a national-level medical entrance exam administered by AIIMS, New Delhi for admission to 15 All India Institute of Medical Sciences across India. Admission to an MBBS programme at any one of the AIIMS will require aspirants to take the AIIMS MBBS 2020 exam. AIIMS MBBS Exam - Eligibility Criteria
AIIMS MBBS aspirants must assure they satisfy the minimum eligibility requirement of the AIIMS MBBS exam before registering for the same. As per the AIIMS MBBS 2020 Eligibility Criteria, a candidate must meet the following requirements;
- Candidate must be 17 years of age or should attain the age before 31st December, 2020
- Indian national/ foreign nationals/ NRIs and OCIs can apply for AIIMS MBBS exam
- AIIMS MBBS exam is mandatory for all nationals except foreign nationals to reserve a seat in any one of the 9 AIIMS
- Candidate must have completed class 12 or its equivalent from a recognized board wherein his/ her main subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 60% marks in all the aforementioned subjects in case of General category applicants; whereas SC/ST and PwD category applicants must obtain minimum 50% and 45% marks respectively
- A candidate who has cleared the qualifying exam from a foreign board, he must furnish a valid document stating the qualification is equivalent to 10+2 class
AIIMS MBBS 2020 Exam - Application Process
Interested applicants register for the coveted medical entrance exam in the second week of January, 2020. AIIMS MBBS registration will be done in two phases: basic registration followed by final registration. The basic registration comprises of completing the basic process which starts much earlier than the AIIMS MBBS registration in November. Here candidates will be required to enter their basic details and upload the images and signatures. Post these candidates can printout out their basic registration slips. Candidates can then check their registration status by entering their login credentials on the website.
For the final registration candidates will be required to generate a Registration Unique Code, however this can be generate by only those candidates who have been successfully registered in the basic registration.
How to register
In order to fill the AIIMS MBBS Application Form successfully, candidates need to follow the below mentioned steps:
- First of all, candidates to visit the official website of AIIMS and complete the registration process
- Then, candidates will have to fill the AIIMS application form by providing relevant personal and educational details as mentioned
- After filling the application form, candidates need to upload their scanned images of recent passport size photograph, signature and other required documents
- In the next step, candidates need to pay the application fee and generate the registration slip
- Candidates can pay the application fee through Debit/Credit Card/Bank Challan along with applicable service tax.

AIIMS MBBS Exam 2020 Admit Card
AIIMS MBBS admit card is a mandatory document to be carried to the exam centre on the examination day. The admit card will be hosted online on the official website of AIIMS MBBS exam. Candidates will need to visit the official website in order to download the AIIMS MBBS admit card. As per the official website, candidates can download their AIIMS MBBS 2020 Admit Card in the second week of May, 2020. It is the sole responsibility of a candidate to download the admit card as conducting authority will not send the same by post.
In order to download the admit card, candidates will have to click on the admit card link and enter their login credentials, i.e. User ID and Password.
It is a mandatory identity proof that must be carried to the examination center without fail. No candidate will be allowed to take the test without their admit card. The admit card will include the following details:
- Name of the candidate
- Roll number of the candidate
- Course applied for
- Exam date
- Exam time
- Exam venue
- Student’s address
In case of any mismatch found in the admit card, candidates must immediately contact the conducting body of AIIMS and resolve the issue before the commencement of exam.
AIIMS MBBS - Exam Pattern
As per the exam pattern of AIIMS MBBS exam, the medical entrance test will be a computer-based entrance test which must be completed in three hours and thirty minutes. AIIMS MBBS 2020 exam will be held across 145 cities pan India.
According to the AIIMS MBBS exam pattern, the exam is divided into five subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology), General Knowledge and Aptitude & Logical Thinking. The exam will comprise of as many as 200 multiple choice questions from the five subjects. The AIIMS MBBS question paper will be provided in English or in Hindi as per the candidates’ choice. Candidates can choose whether he prefers question paper in Hindi or English.

Marking Scheme- Candidates will be awarded 1 mark for every correct answer and 1/3rd of marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer and 0 marks for unanswered questions.

AIIMS MBBS Exam - Results
The AIIMS MBBS Results are generally declared in the Second week of June every year. Last year the AIIMS MBBS Results were declared on June 12, 2019. In order to check the result online, candidates will have to login with their User ID and Password that they used during registration process. The result will include the percentile and score obtained by aspirants in the exam. Ranking of candidates will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination.
